In 2023, while studying design, Parth was given an assignment that involved designing a watch. What initially started as just an assignment turned into much more. He became interested in designing watches and learning more about their technical aspects. It sparked the idea of making his own designs come to life. In search of more information on where to get the various parts of the watch from, he travelled throughout the city. His search led him to Shubh Ghadi, a watch store, and the staff helped him significantly in executing his vision. With the support of the store and his parents, he worked relentlessly and established associations with people working in the field, to create his first watch, "MAYUR". He has been committed to the watch industry and has not looked back since.
The company is inspired by the Sun, representing the ceaseless flow of time and is symbolic of its unlimited energy, cosmic force and the endless knowledge gained with millions of years of existence.
It is also an initiative to improve the working conditions of local artisans who struggle to make even minimum wages. This lack of financial resources has threatened the extinction of traditional art and culture. We aim to have a positive impact on the lives of artisans and bring about a resurgence of indigenous and local art.
